Mock-up 1

This is my first mock-up for my front cover. I chos ethis font because it is bold which makes it clear and easy to read. The font looks slightly like graffitti which reflects my genre of 'Funkyhouse' to a certain extent. My front image will be a boy smiling to reflect the happy lifestyle usually conveyed through funkyhouse music. The character will be wearing headphones in relation to music. I have planned to align my cover lines to the left of the magazine, to create organisation.

  1. Thanks for posting this!

Please comment about what and why?

Just don't post your design mock-ups without writing anything about then!

What are we meant to be looking at? what sort of layout convention is this? Why will you want to use this? What appeal will it have on your target audience? Please do not just post pictures without analysing what and why?

  2. Well done for this! However, your blog now needs updating we have nearly finished the main task that being the music magazine and you have not yet posted anything regards your:

    • RESEARCH AND PLANNING
    • YOUR STATEMENT OF INTENT
    • YOUR MAGAZINE DESIGN MOCK-UPS (When posting mock-ups please analyse what they are and why they are and the effect they might have on your target audience, I have commented on this in my earlier post on your blog.

I have noticed that you did not keep a PRODUCTION LOG for your preliminary task. Please keep a production log for your music magazine task which should be screen prints from within the software program you are using showing how you are making your creative/technical decisions. These screen prints can be pasted in Word or PowerPoint for comments then posted to SLIDESHARE for embedding in your blog.

Find the link to SLIDESHARE below!

PLEASE GET YOUR BLOG UP TO DATE! REMEMBER WHEY DOING RESEARCH FOR YOUR MUSIC MAGAZINE, ANALYSE DO NOT DESCRIBE! ASK QUESTIONS LIKE WHAT? WHY? AND THE EFFECT OF THESE, ON THE TARGET AUDIENCE.

(All this needs to be done and should be done in your own time or at home and not actually within your media lessons please use your spare time to work independently, so you are not following behind.

(Remember to keep using Media Language and Technical Terms research what your Technical Codes are within your blog).

We also talked about presentation please start using:

SLIDESHARE (Which offers users the ability to upload and share publicly or privately PowerPoint presentations, Word documents and Adobe PDF Portfolios) http://www.slideshare.net/

    Or

PREZI (The Zooming Presentation Editor) http://prezi.com/

The double media lesson coming up should see the conclusion of your music magazine, as you have done something like this already for the preliminary task.
